Myspace Bulletin

To those unforunate souls out there that work or go to a school where "popular websites" (such as myspace) are blocked, I have a solution for you to view them. I decided to put up 'Surrogafier' - a squid (if you will) proxy written completely in php. The author (not myself) did a very good job with it, and most non-ssl websites load up correctly and quick.

To use (from the bottom-up):

1. Check every box except "Remove Cookies". Myspace requires cookies to be enabled for authentication - if you remove them, you won't be able to login.

[OPTIONAL: You can also uncheck "Remove Objects (Flash, Java, etc)" if you want to listen to music etc. on pages].

2. Change 'User-Agent:' to "Windows XP / Internet Explorer 6".

3. Leave 'Tunnel-Proxy:' blank.

4. Enter desired website address into "URL:" and hit enter.

This will make it near impossible to detect which website you were actually viewing :) (besides devz3ro.com of course).

P.S. Because my webhost is German (still U.S. based out of Ohio), when visiting myspace.com your browser may default to 'Myspace Germany'. The language should change back to english after you login. Sorry I can't fix this, I tried meta and html lang tags within the php, but it turns out that I would need root on the box (which I don't have or will be getting) :/.
